Don has been working on and off the air for over five decades and has collaborated with many of Canada’s best broadcasters developing legendary radio stations such as CHOM FM, CHUM FM, The Fox, Rock 101, Q107, SUN FM and QX104. As President and CEO of Roundhouse Radio, Don and his team - with an independent B.C. ownership group - are committed to building a new “urban” talk radio station focused on everyone who lives, works and plays in the City of Vancouver. Don is a community activist and a strong supporter of local community organizations. He has served on the boards of Variety the Children’s Charity in Vancouver and Toronto, The Canadian Culinary Championships and the Kelowna General Hospital Foundation. He is presently working with Variety, PFLAG and Qmunity in Vancouver, the Canadian Red Cross, the British Columbia Institute of Technology, and the BC Chiefs of Police Association. Always learning, Don is enrolled in night classes at Simon Fraser University, he enjoys motorcycling, good books and is a pretty average guitar player determined to make a difference in Vancouver radio! “I’ve been dreaming about this radio station for years, and knew exactly what we could build given the opportunity.” Building a commercial station with a community focus featuring people and organizations that are trying to make a difference in Vancouver is that dream come true and I’m thrilled to be the host of Impact.”
