Savage to the end

Variety really is the spice of life… and radio. What a week! We packed the studio with Countermeasure, a 14 person acapella group. Their latest album is called made to Measure and seeing and hearing them live was spectacular. They’ve got a very special thing going on. We tried getting relationship/sex advice from Dan Savage this past Valentine’s Day. He was busy. Go figure. We got him this week and it was worth the wait; informative, funny and outspoken. He’s been writing Savage Love now for 26 years and I’ve been reading it for about that long. Steve and Missy from Wooden Horsemen dropped by for a chat and performance. Beautiful finger style guitar and harmonies that wash right over you. Check them out Saturday at Guilt and Company. Friday marked the interviewing debut of LFR producer, Monique McQueen. We threw her right in the fire with a lil face to face with Canadian actor/director, Jay Baruchel. Jay is making his directorial debut with GOON 2. His acting credits include: How to Train Your Dragon, This Is the End, Tropic Thunder, She’s Out of My League, Knocked Up… just to name a few.

Next week, it’s the music of Port Cities, Age of Electric, Sam the Astronaut, Nick Hakim, Rose Cousins and lots more. Thanks for listening!
